Hi there, I’m Clark Ortiz, CEO of Center Church. As we step into the month of March, there is a tangible shift in the air here in Pharr, Texas. You can feel the expectancy rising. We are officially beginning "The Miraculous Countdown" toward April 5th: Resurrection Sunday.
Whether you’ve been part of our family for years or you’ve just happened to stumble upon our website today, I want you to know that our digital front door is wide open. We aren't just a religious organization; we are a family that has been walking together through life’s ups and downs for 30 years right here in the RGV. This journey toward the empty tomb isn't just a series of dates on a calendar; it’s a spiritual progression toward your own personal breakthrough.
Step 1: Trading Algorithms for Substance
In a world dominated by social media feeds, we often find ourselves scrolling for hours, looking for something that satisfies. But let’s be honest: an algorithm can’t heal a broken heart, and a "like" can't provide spiritual guidance during a crisis. This season, we are inviting you to join us in trading algorithms for substance.
The substance we’re talking about is the Word of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit. When we gather as a church in Pharr, TX, we aren't looking for a "viral moment." We are looking for a God-moment. As we count down to Resurrection Sunday, we encourage you to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with the Truth.
Scripture tells us in Romans 8:11, "And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." That is the substance we’re after: the life-giving power of the Resurrection.

Step 2: Experience the True Warmth of the RGV
There is something special about the Rio Grande Valley. It’s in our food, our culture, and most importantly, our hospitality. At Center Church, we strive to experience the true warmth of the RGV in everything we do. When you walk through our physical doors, you aren’t a stranger; you are a guest we’ve been waiting for.
For three decades, we have been more than a building; we are a family walking together. We’ve celebrated births, mourned losses, and stood side-by-side through the toughest challenges life can throw at us. We know that life in South Texas involves real struggles: economic pressures, family dynamics, and the search for purpose.
If you are looking for a family church where people actually know your name and care about your story, you’ve found it. We have a seat at our table just for you. Whether you join us at our 9am or 11am service, you will find a community ready to embrace you with open arms.
Step 3: Finding Strength in the Journey
The countdown to Resurrection Sunday is a time for reflection and preparation. It’s a time to acknowledge where we’ve been and where God is taking us. Many of us are carrying heavy burdens right now: maybe it’s an addiction that feels impossible to break, a fear that keeps you up at night, or a sense of spiritual bondage that has lingered far too long.
We believe in the power of spiritual renewal. At Center Church, we don’t shy away from the hard stuff. We tackle it head-on with the power of prayer and the support of a loving community. We’ve seen lives transformed, marriages restored, and chains broken because we serve a God of miracles.
If you are currently in a season of waiting or struggling, remember that even the darkest Friday was followed by a Sunday morning. The "Miraculous Countdown" is about preparing your heart to receive the breakthrough that only Jesus can provide.

Step 4: Our Digital Front Door is Wide Open
Maybe you aren't ready to step into a building yet. That’s okay. Our digital front door is wide open. We’ve worked hard to ensure that our online presence is a resource for you 24/7. From our blog posts to our social media updates, we want to provide you with consistent spiritual guidance.
You can explore the role of community gathering or learn about the benefits of being part of a spirit-filled church. We want you to feel connected even before you step foot in Pharr.
But as much as we love our digital reach, nothing compares to the power of gathering in person. There is an atmospheric shift that happens when the family of God lifts their voices together. It’s where the "warmth of the RGV" meets the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Step 5: Come Expecting a Breakthrough
As we approach April 5th, we have one simple request: Come expecting a breakthrough.
Don’t just come out of habit. Don’t just come because it’s a holiday. Come because you believe that the same power that rolled away the stone 2,000 years ago is active and moving in Pharr, TX today.
We offer two service times to fit your schedule:
9:00 AM: A powerful start to your morning.
11:00 AM: A vibrant, high-energy service for the whole family.
Both services are designed to help you encounter the living God. From the worship to the message, everything is centered on the person of Jesus Christ. We aren't interested in religious tradition for tradition’s sake; we are interested in having faith in God and seeing His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

How to Prepare During This Countdown
As we count down the days to Resurrection Sunday, I want to give you three practical steps to prepare your heart:
Daily Declaration: Every morning, declare that you are a child of God and that His promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in your life. Speak life over your situation.
Intentional Prayer: Spend five minutes a day specifically asking God to prepare your heart for what He wants to do on April 5th. Pray for your neighbors, your family, and our RGV community.
Invite Someone Home: We often say, "Welcome Home." This year, bring someone home with you. Who do you know that needs a breakthrough? Who do you know that is looking for a family to walk with? Invite them to join you at one of our services.
A Specific Prayer for You
If you are reading this and you feel a tug in your heart, I want to pray for you right now.
Father, I thank You for every person reading this blog post. I pray that as they enter into this "Miraculous Countdown," they would feel Your presence in a tangible way. For the one struggling with fear, give them Your peace. For the one facing addiction, give them Your strength. For the one looking for a home, show them the seat we have saved for them at our table. We come expecting a breakthrough on Resurrection Sunday. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Welcome Home to Center Church
We are so excited for what’s ahead. The next few weeks are going to be a journey of faith, hope, and love. Remember, you don’t have to walk through life's challenges alone. Whether it’s finding rest in His presence or staying focused on the goal, we are here for you.
See you Sunday at 9am or 11am!
Blessings,
Clark Ortiz
